Έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 59 ετών ο διάσημος ράπερ Coolio, που σημείωσε τεράστια επιτυχία στα 90s με το τραγούδι Gangsta's Paradise.

Ο Coolio εντοπίστηκε νεκρός στην τουαλέτα του σπιτιού ενός φίλου του στο Λος Άντζελες, σύμφωνα με τον επί χρόνια μάνατζερ του.

Σύμφωνα με τον Jarez, ο Coolio πήγε στην τουαλέτα στο σπίτι του φίλου του, αλλά καθυστερούσε να βγει. Τότε ο φίλος του εισέβαλε στην τουαλέτα και να τον βρήκε ξαπλωμένο στο πάτωμα χωρίς τις αισθήσεις του.

Σύμφωνα με το TMZ, που μίλησε με τον μάνατζερ του ράπερ, τα μέλη του πληρώματος του ασθενοφόρου που έφτασαν στο σημείο εκτίμησαν πως ο Coolio υπέστη ανακοπή καρδιάς. Επισήμως δεν έχει ανακοινωθεί ή αιτία θανάτου του.

Ο Coolio, το πραγματικό όνομα του οποίου ήταν Artis Leon Ivey Jr., εμφανίστηκε στη ραπ σκηνή του Λος Άντζελες στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του '80, αλλά η φήμη του εκτοξεύθηκε το 1995 όταν κυκλοφόρησε το Gangsta's Paradise για το soundtrack της ταινίας Dangerous Minds με πρωταγωνίστρια τη Μισέλ Φάιφερ.
