PAOK THESSALONIKI (GRE) vs. Ford Store Levoranta SASTAMALA (FIN)

• The final act of Pool B at European elite club competition finds PAOK THESSALONIKI in search of a home victory against Ford Store Levoranta SASTAMALA for Round 6, and preferably in straight sets, in order to fight for the Playoffs qualification until the very end.
• The Greek champions are poised to reach a new height in their history while competing in the CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men and become one of the best three third placed teams across all pools, which will qualify to the Playoffs. However, for this dream to come true they do not only need to win their last fixture, but also expect for a home loss of either BERLIN Recycling Volleys or CHAUMONT VB 52 Haute Marne later on Wednesday evening, while Dinamo MOSCOW is also in the mix.
• On the other hand, the Finnish side can only hope to clinch the third spot of Pool B if they beat PAOK 3-0 or 3-1 sets, but still they would not have any chance of advancing into the next phase. In the best-case scenario, they would finish with a total of two victories and five ranking points, which would not be enough for them to progress any further.
• Ford Store Levoranta SASTAMALA have celebrated against PAOK their unique victory in the #CLVolleyM so far, in their opening match, in 3-2 sets playing at home.
• The Thessaloniki-based club lost at home to Foinikas SYROS (2-3 sets) last Saturday for Round 18 of the Greek League, with quite a few changes in the starting line-up, but still they are solid on the second spot of the ranking table, standing ahead of Foinikas with four rounds to go.

PAOK THESSALONIKI head coach Daniele Ricci: “It is very important for us that we are entering the last round of the group stage with the opportunity to qualify to the Playoffs. Our job is to win our match and get three points, and then we will see what happens on the other courts. It will be a great satisfaction for our club if we manage to advance to the next stage of the CEV Champions League. Last Saturday we gave rest to some players ahead of the upcoming matchup and we are ready to play against Ford Store Levoranta. I think it would be better that all matches started at the same time on Wednesday, but we have to accept how things are and do our best to take our chance.”
