To 1971 οι Whisbone Ash κυκλοφόρησαν το 2ο album τους με τίτλο Pilgrimage, που έφτασε στο No 14 στο UK Albums Chart. Η κορύφωση στην επιτυχία τους όμως θα έρχονταν με το επόμενο album (1972) με τίτλο: "Argus".
Στο δεύτερο άλμπουμ συνυπάρχουν όμορφες μελωδίες με περισσότερα στοιχεία folk και acoustic music, σε σχέση με το πρώτο, που ήταν περισσότερο προσανατολισμένο στα blues.
Από το άλμπουμ αυτό μ' αρέσει πολύ το κομμάτι με τίτλο "Valediction".
