Επόμενο (4ο) τραγούδι από τον αριστουργηματικό δίσκο των Supertramp με τίτλο: “Crime of the century», που κυκλοφόρησε το 1974, είναι το Asylum. Το τραγούδι αναφέρεται σε άτομο της σύγχρονης (τότε) εποχής, που κινείται στο όριο της λογικής και της παράνοιας. Μάλιστα οι στίχοι του τραγουδιού: «when they haunt me and taunt me in my cage» ενέπνευσαν τους δημιουργούς του εξώφυλλου του άλμπουμ για τη συγκεκριμένη φωτογραφία, που δείχνει τα χέρια ενός φυλακισμένου άνδρα να πιάνουν τα κάγκελα της φυλακής του.
Η ατμόσφαιρα που δημιουργείται από τα ηχητικά εφέ και την φωνή του Rick Davies, είναι εκπληκτική.
